MAXI MISNOMER 10
BY FRED BARBER
Maxi: HODLing is good.
Me: HODLing is only for the first phase of Bitcoin’s existence. Transaction speed and profits must rise high enough to maintain the economic incentive to run a full node in most parts of the world. Circulation and not storage is the only way to achieve this goal, as each halving cuts the initial profit production to support the network of nodes that decentralize and secure the Bitcoin network. ANYTHING that hampers the economic incentive to run a full node will hamper BITCOIN and Bitcoin in the future. So, some practices that were good in Bitcoin’s initial years of development will become BAD. I will provide more math and logic as we get into Bitcoin Velocity Protocols. HINT: Every miner in the network must be reduced to a simple full node. Their compensation must shift from block rewards to transaction fees now. Transactions per second will provide the community with the opportunity to help Bitcoin morph or die. The transition to transactional fees will require many more transactions than the ordinals-based surge we experienced in the last few years.
